RTI Training for media, social activist, Lawyers and Arvind Kejriwals meet-the-press program
On the invitation of Lawyers for Rights, Guwahati – Assam, Arvind Kejriwal a Magsayasay Award winner 2006 is coming for the Right to Information Law training Program in Guwahati on the 22nd Dec 2007.
Lawyers for Rights is inviting both the local media personnel, social activist and lawyers of the State for the said program. It’s the first program of such kind in the state.
The purpose of the program is specially to sensitize the media on the need to uncover the anomalies of the Government sponsored welfare schemes and the present system of the state authorities for better transparency and accountability through use of RTI law. Hopefully these would in turn educate the general public through regular publicity so that the people of this region become an informed citizens of the country.
The program will start form 9 am to 4 pm including press meet with Arvind Kejriwal. Date : 22nd Dec 2007. Time : 9 am to 4 pm. Venue: The Assam State Musuem.
